Temperamental Traits of Alcoholic Patients with Working

Abstract
Objectives£ºOccupation with working supports a biopsychosocial premise in assisting the alcoholic to establish a sober lifestyle for recovery as a part of treatment. It is also listed the key tasks of secondary recovery as deaddiction, learning new pleasures, social integration, and creating new goals. We compared trait characteristics of active working group with those of non-working group for the data of work therapy of alcoholic patients rehabilitation.

Methods£ºThe admitted alcoholic patients were divided into working group who actively participated in rearing working and non-working group who never did. Those also divided into stable job group who continuously maintained his job and unstable job group who did not. We compared demographic data and TCI of two groups.

Result£ºThe novelty seeking score and RD1 score of unstable job group was higher than that of stable job group. HA1, HA3 and RD3 score of stable job group were higher than those of unstable job group. Harm avoidance and subscale score except HA4 of working group were higher than those of non-working group.

Conclusion£ºShort working time and supportive management would encourage the working volition of alcoholic patients. Novelty seeking trait was relatively important factor for the occupation with working.
